Owner and founder Sarah Mitchell opened our doors in 2017 in order to provide strategic marketing solutions to brands no matter what their marketing goals or budgets may be. Our business model was created with the independent grocer in mind. As a full-service digital marketing company, we provide public relations, digital marketing, social media, design, photography and promotion management services to our clients in the independent grocery industry and adjacent markets based on their immediate needs.

Sarah graduated from Auburn University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations. After graduation, she moved to Dallas, TX and gained experience working in PR and marketing firms specializing in produce brands. Growing up surrounded by her family’s wholesale grocery business, Sarah always knew she wanted to work in the industry. She saw a need for PR and marketing in what she calls the “Dad market.” Dad-aged people in the grocery industry who know they need to be doing more in the digital world but aren’t sure where to start. That’s when Mitchell Marketing Solutions was born. Sarah launched her female-owned business in 2017 at the age of 24. She has grown MMS from 5 clients to almost 50 over the last 4 years. Sarah has a passion and deep rooted understanding of the grocery business, which makes her a seamless partner to work with on your store’s marketing. She enjoys the creative and analytical side of the business. You can usually find her with a cup of vanilla coffee creating flawless social media graphics, writing a press release or scouring over her client’s digital marketing analytics for the week. Sarah now resides in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband Jake, son Hugh and golden retriever Millie. When she’s not working Sarah enjoys traveling, visiting grocery stores, walks with her family, taking a Peleton class, and enjoying a Netflix binge with a nice glass of Pinot Noir.
Jake graduated from Texas Tech university in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He spent his early post-grad years working his way up the corporate ladder in the natural gas industry. Jake gained experience in the food industry working as a food service broker after moving to Alabama. He joined Mitchell Marketing Solutions in 2020 as the Vice President and COO. Jake is a results driven professional motivated to exceed expectations and efficiently execute company goals. He is an excellent communicator, exceptionally detail oriented, with a strong work ethic that positively contributes to your company’s success. Jake takes his work very seriously and genuinely cares about the progress and profit of his clients. He makes himself available to tend to his client’s needs 24/7. He always comes to work with a smile and lifts our company up with his positive and decisive attitude. You can usually find him calmly resolving a client’s emergency need, creating a spreadsheet, or working on new business. When Jake isn’t working he’s on a golf course, playing with his son, or traveling to visit his family in Texas. Jake resides in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife Sarah, son Hugh and golden retriever Millie.
Bailee graduated from the University of Alabama in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Information Sciences. Prior to graduation, she interned with Mitchell Marketing Solutions and then joined the team full time after graduation. Growing up in the "grocery world," Bailee was able to quickly jump right in with the team. She has worked for her family’s locally owned and operated grocery stores in north Alabama, Bruce’s Foodland, since she was old enough to run a cash register and stock the shelves. She understands the retail side of the grocery world and believes in the power of digital marketing and advertising. While at the University of Alabama, she specialized in Technological and Digital Communication Management as well as Strategic Branding. She is certified in Google Analytics, Google Ads Display and Google Ad Search. Bailee’s favorite part of the job is planning and strategizing with the team for upcoming promotions and campaigns, but she also enjoys tackling last minute ideas and campaigns. She says some of her best work is produced under pressure–which is an important skill in the fast paced grocery world. Bailee resides in the Birmingham area with her miniature schnauzer, Rosie. If she’s not copywriting or organizing an image library, you can find her at Orangetheory Fitness training to run marathons, the dog park playing with Rosie or Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International catching a flight to somewhere fun!
Clancey graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, and two Associates in Biology and Business. Prior to graduation, Clancey worked for various small businesses in her hometown of Fort Payne, AL. Through these ventures, she focused on her interpersonal skills, and developed an eye for fashion and aesthetics which translates into her marketing endeavors. She loves to show small-businesses that they can transform their accounts with eye-catching graphics to make the most of their advertisements. While at Jacksonville State University, Clancey learned the ins-and-outs of digital marketing which has taken the social media world by storm. She recognizes the importance of online advertising and how it greatly benefits the “grocery world”. Clancey’s favorite part of MMS is the creative process, whether it is developing and editing new graphics or brainstorming for future campaigns. Clancey currently resides in Fort Payne with her four-legged bestie, Red Labrador Retriever, Dolly. When she isn’t scouring new trends to utilize, you can find her at a local Pickle-ball court, Weiss Lake with her newest book, or at a coffee shop with a brown sugar oat milk latte in hand.
